Daily Original Oil Painting for Feb. 21, 2007

"Long Distance"
Continuing with the theme, "intersection", here's a painting I've titled, "Long Distance". The distant clouds, the setting sun all evoke thoughts of distance and those we know who are far from us. Intersecting with the horizon, the division of Earth and sky is the telephone pole and the lines that connect us with those who are far away. Enjoy!

I like the series with the telephone poles and wires.
We painters often go to great lengths to remove those from our compositions. It's fun to see them left in.
