Daily Original Oil Painting for Feb. 20, 2007

"Railroad Crossing"
Last week's cowboy makes a nice segue into this weeks series. I start with a cowboy at a railroad crossing. This is a variant of a cowboy I painted years ago but thought I'd like to paint again in this small format to start a series this week based on the theme, "Intersection". Enjoy!

Very nice. It almost looks like they're both contemplating their
future...reaching a "crossroads." Reminds me of a Kirk Douglas movie from the 60s..."Lonely Are the Brave."
